For clarification, a wine that maybe looked uninteresting at first or was made with a grape/blend you don't normally like.
I'll start.
A white Pinot Nero "Lyncurio" by Castello di Potentino (IT). I had no real expectations for this wine as I hadn't drunk many white Pinot Neros before, especially not from Italy. This wine was a beautiful light amber, almost like a ramato. The nose was truly the best part as it smelled like grape flower blossoms, candied peaches, and a bit of honey. The palate was fresh apricots with a quartz-y finish. Dry but still lots of fruit flavors. http://ift.tt/16qQ3mt
I could drink that every day of my life.
