Hello, fellow monthly winos! In the US, February is the month of romance, presidents and Black history. Hope it's as interesting in your part of the world - especially as we add a wine in the mix.
It's time for a white wine, and we're going to a country where their white wines are gaining prominence within wine production and criticism.
Country: Argentina
Variety: Chardonnay
Whether you find a Chardonnay produced in or without oak barrels, its terroir will definitely add to its tropical flavors.
Here's an interesting article about Chardonnay in Argentina.
Just remember: on the 15th when the notes post goes up, you'll need to post: 1) a picture of the wine bottle/label and a filled glass, 2) the name of the wine, its producer/vineyard, and the year, 3) your tasting notes, 4) your overall opinion (would buy again, pour in sink immediately, etc.)
For those who need help tasting their wines: click here.
If you need help writing your tasting notes: click here.
Thanks, everybody! See you on the 15th!
