Not the very first one you tried, but the first one that made you sit up and say "I like this." The wine that "got you in".
Mine very first wine was (don't laugh) a cheapie Rose, probably barefoot or Yellowtail. it was...ok. Drinkable (now I would say barely drinkable).
But then I tried some winetasting, and went on a tour of my own backyard (Sonoma County). I will forever be grateful to the Martinelli's winery. They are a bigger place, but with a seven wine flight it gave me a real chance to get into things and try some stuff.
My biggest moment was what my husband and I refer to as our "magic Pinot", which neither of us can remember the name of. :( It was a limited edition run and it tasted like chocolate, cherries and amazingness. (I'm gonna have to go back to that tasting room and see if they can't locate the winery it came from)
