Hi, I'm a newer wine drinker and I've read up the general rules of decanting, where younger wines benefit a whole ton, and older wines dont need as much aeration.
My question is for Rioja, specifically the Crianza and Reserva Rioja's. I was under the impression that the Gran Reservas do not need much aeration, but what about Crianzas and Reservas? They are aged at least 2 or 3 years before proper release, would they benefit from aerating? How long is recommended, if any time at all?
Thanks for your insight.
Sincerely, Novice Wine Drinker
