I have been trying many different styles of wines and grape varietals recently. I started with cab sauv mainly from California, I enjoyed the deep tastes and full bodied wines. Then I switched to something a little drier moving to Italians, mostly valpolicella which I enjoyed as well. I had a Chianti this weekend that was so dry and ashy I knew I needed a change to something lighter and fruiter for a while.
So I guess my question is, what are some medium body - fruiter wines that perhaps aren't as dry. I seemed to have moved my taste in a direction the wines were so dry they were difficult to have more then a glass of. I do remember having a Borolo that I enjoyed quite a bit which was lighter.
I'm contemplating a bottle of the Meiomi pinot noir. Do you suppose that would fill my needs?
