I have done my research and tried everything I can think of. Here is the scenario.
In our kitchen remodel, I built a wet bar area with a built in wine fridge slot under the cabinet. I bought a used wine fridge on Craigslist (trying to keep it cheap) and everything seemed to work until about 3 months later I noticed mold on my bottles.
Upon looking closer there was mold growing on the wood racks as well. I have been checking the humidity regularly, and while it vary's quite a bit, it seems to consistently be around 90%
I have a box of baking soda in there to try to help. I also called a repair guy (who ended up doing the work for a bottle of wine lol) and the only thing he could find was that the seal was broke in the back of the unit where the drain hose is. So he used some epoxy stuff to seal that back in place.
The seals all look good now, the compressor and fans are doing their job, the condenser works well (according to the repair guy when he took it apart) so I am not sure what else to do? Is it time to scrap this unit and buy a new one?
I have a Danby silhouette 50 bottle fridge.
If this isn't the same one, it's very close to it. http://ift.tt/1yW3qHN
