I'm new to this sub-reddit, can someone fill me in?

Hey guys,

Over the last year or so I have been getting in to wine a lot more seriously, usually my girlfriend and I will try one new wine each week around the 20$ mark (Canada), I usually explore online before I make my purchase to see what wines are good from each region.

I was an avid member of /r/scotch last year and was doing community reviews over there. I enjoy tasting and making notes. I also know that that particular community has about 10 different scotches that are held in highest regards (Basically fan favourites despite what mass media reviews say)

So my question is, what top 10 wines or wineries does this sub-reddit absolutely swoon over? Is there anything that I absolutely must try before I die as a wine enthusiast?

I know taste is subjective and everything is a personal journey blah blah blah, but I just want to get a feel for what this community tends to favour.
