Is there a way to tell if a restaurant sets prices of wines by the bottle with the appropriate markup?
I remember reading an article (I can't seem to google it) with a list of the most common bottles on restaurant wine lists that you can remember to figure out if the list is "fair".
This seems preferable to remember a ton of bottles and their retail prices. That being said, I'm all ears if anyone has another strategy on determining if you should buy wine from a restaurant.
